Shell Montney Substation Design
Detailed design for a 230/25kV substation in Northern BC for Shell Canada. The scope included a 230kV incoming line, two step down transformers, three 230kV circuit breakers and associated disconnects and instrument transformers. The substation has now been energized and connected to the BC Hydro grid.

Fortis BC Cap Bank Design
Design of the replacement of two existing 69kV shunt capacitor banks; associated 69kV circuit switchers, 69kV disconnect switches and 69kV CTs at the RGA substation for Fortis BC. The scope also includes replacing existing protection relays for the capacitor banks with new SEL-751 relays and reconnecting the new relays to existing P&C schemes.

Northwest Territories Fort Providence to Kakisa Transmission Line Substation Design (In Progress)
Design of two substations and a distribution transformer connection for the new Fort Providence-Kakisa Transmission Line, to provide hydroelectric power from the existing Taltson hydroelectric system, to the communities of Fort Providence and Kakisa. The project will remove several communities off diesel generation, and substantially expand the NT Energy electricity grid.

Conceptual design for multiple substations for the BC Hydro call for power. Electrical substation single line diagrams, equipment specifications, protection and control single line diagrams and coordination with BC Hydro for input into BC Hydro’s Feasibility and System Impact Studies.
